---- 英文源文 来源:英文精油书Aroma: Reminiscent of the warm, herbal quality of Chamomile tea, this oil carries a lot of mild herbaceous base notes. It is very warm, sweet, comforting, slightly bitter and somewhat green.
The potency and incredible fragrancing power of Chamomile Essential Oil make it a great investment, even though it is one of the pricier oils. If you find it hard to dose the pure oil correctly (it is incredibly strong and intense!), or shy away from the cost, start with Essential Oils blended with Jojoba oil, classified as “i/J” (“in Jojoba”).
Consistency: Very viscous liquid, needs to be warmed to dispense. For ease of handling, we recommend the oil diluted in Jojoba.
Aromatherapy properties: Relaxing, soothing, calming the nerves without being a sedative (great for kids!), very gentle oil for many skin conditions, digestive problems and stress. Great skincare properties, soothing irritation and balancing the skin’s functions. Its mildness, as well as its proven effectiveness makes it a universal remedy, even in baby care.
Some say that Roman Chamomile is better for relaxing applications and as a remedy for ailments of the body. For skin problems German Chamomile seems to be the best.
How to use it: - Add 3 drops to a hot bath for a blissful retreat.
- Add 2 drop to 1 oz. of olive oil or unscented cream for a homemade and highly effective diaper rash remedy.
- If you are purchasing this Essential Oil blended with Jojoba, increase the number of drops you add to your body care or bath according to your liking.
Blends well with: Geranium, Lavender, Rose, Neroli, Marjoram, Cedarwood, Frankincense, Rosewood, Clary Sage, Ylang Ylang and others. Chamomile adds a soft, warm note to a blend.
History: This herb has been used for medicinal purposes and skin therapy for a long time, in particular in Europe. German/Blue Chamomile and Roman Chamomile have very similar properties, however the German/Blue oil is better because it has a higher content of Azulene.
This oil is a CO2 extract, extracted by High-Pressure Carbon Dioxide method, where the oil is basically pressed out of the plant material – a great way of obtaining high quality extracts.
Other related Aromatherapy and Essential Oil Centre oils: Chamomile, Blue – This oil is derived from the same species as Chamomile German, yet it is grown in Spain and steam distilled.
Chamomile, Roman – More fruity and somewhat apple-like in aroma, this oil is very fragrant and shares a lot of the properties of the other Chamomile species.
