最近在看quinessence的官方网站上看到，在essential oil类里，又细分为：essential oils 和 absolute 两种。且后者的价格要比前者昂贵，上面对absolute的解释是："Producing absolutes is done in two stages. In the first stage the plant material is placed in a cylindrical drum along with a solvent, usually hexane.The drum is rotated to aid in the absorption of the solvent and to separate the odiferous extract.This extract is the subjected to vacuum distillation to remove the solvent which can then be recycled.The material obtained in this first stage is known as a concrete or resinoid, depending if the extract is waxy or resinous. The secend stage in this process involves using alcohol to remove the excess waxes which are present in the extracted material if it is derived from a flower or herb. These waxes have no aromatic value and make the oil difficult to use due to their insolubility.The alcohol is then recovered using vacuum distillation." 上面讲的是absolute的产生过程，即它是由溶剂萃取法取得，称之为原精。一般溶剂萃取法用在较难萃取的精油或含量少或怕高温的精油。如茉莉。玫瑰。洋柑橘。玫瑰果等，以此法取代过去的脂吸法。是不是因为如此复杂的萃取工艺，原精的价格就比一般精油昂贵呢？ 另：在书上看到过，一般精油只要含有60％以上的纯精油也称为纯精油，是不是我们所谓的商业精油？那现在那么多的精油品牌如o家，j家是不是也只是商业意义上的纯精油？而芳香疗法所使用的精油，必须为100％的纯精油，才能发挥它真正的疗效！
